The Portarlington Social Services, Seniors Bingo has returned & will continue every Wednesday at 8.30pm in the Social Services Centre Link Road. Come along to a lovely Social night. Play a few games of Bingo & enjoy a cuppa. All precautions are in place for your safe return. We are looking forward to seeing all of you.

SANTAS HELPERS
The Committee will soon be organising their mission to assist in helping Santa to help families in Laois this Christmas. Fundraising through other community groups and professional organisations provide assistance to those identified.This committee know the cost of providing for even one child at Christmas time.There was wonderful community support last year in organising fundraisers, and they are looking for your help this year again.Clubs, individuals, business, please help to help those in our community that need support, by organising a fundraising event or donating to the committee. Santas helpers has a facebook page with all details.

The Portarlington Community Development Assoc (PCDA) once again thank the Portarlington Credit Union for their annual sponsorship of €3,000 to the PCDA. TABLE QUIZ
Table Quiz in aid of Portarlington Lion’s Club takes place on Friday October 29 at 9pm sharp, in the Barrow Lodge .
All money raised goes back in to the Community. Table of 4 is €40.
PORT CONCERT BAND
One to One lessons takes place every Thursday from 3pm to 5pm, and will continue after rehearsals with Gerry, Willie and Pat.Senior Band Rehearsals take place from 5pm to 6.30pm. Both Adults and children are welcome to come along and try out an instrument, or listen to the band playing great tunes. SYMPATHY
Deepest Sympathy to the family of Jim Lawlor, Lea Portarlington who passed away on Monday September 27 at his residence. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughter Caroline, sons James, Mark, Darren & Ted, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother David, sister Dorothy, extended family & friends. Jm was known as the Memory Man as he recorded many family events & memories for people for many years. Requiem Mass took place on Wednesday September 29 at St Michael’s Church Portarlington, with burial after in St Michael’s Cemetery. May Jim rest in Peace. BINGO
The Port GAA Bingo is back. The Club look forward to welcoming their patrons back at 8.30pm every Tuesday at the Portarlington GAA Centre. Patrons are asked to arrive early, face masks and covid certificate are required for entry.

PORT MENS SHED
We are delighted to be able to meet up at the men’s shed again. We will be open Wednesdays at 6.30pm, if anyone wants to pop in for tea/coffee and a chat. New members are always welcome.
