‘TOUR DE PORT’ CYCLE

Dear Cyclists of Portarlington. Important update about our cycle event in July.

Next Event – Tour De Port – Saturday July 16 @ 2pm from Solas Eco Garden Centre.

Our cycle will be very much in keeping with the French theme – we will be embarking on a ‘Tour De Port’ – but rest assured that this cycle will still be open to all, young and old, with a similar set-up in terms of Garda escort, distance, route, pace etc.

Deficiencies in Portarlington Cycling Infrastructure highlighted in recent audit

LOURDES COMMITTEE

The committee of the Portarlington Lourdes Pilgrimage Group would like to thank everyone who participated in the recent 5K run and walk in the grounds of the Heritage Hotel Killenard. There was a great turn out again this year, and all money raised goes towards a very worthy cause. A big thanks to the members of St Michael’s AC, in particular Michael Cullen, who helped with the time keeping of all the runners who partook in the event.

Also, thanks to Supervalu Portarlington who again sponsored the event.

Finally, thanks to the Heritage Hotel for the use of their facilities, and for providing the refreshments afterwards. With a little over 4 weeks to go, 100 pilgrims will be travelling to Lourdes on August 5 this year. You can still make a donation to any Committee member.
