Portarlington Concert Band  will perform at a Summer Concert at St Michael’s Church Portarlington on Thursday June 23 at 7.30pm. Tickets at €5 each. Host families sought for Spanish students for the month of July. Host family must have student of a similar age, as the visiting student who will integrate them into the family and spend time with them. Students do not attend classes. Deepest Sympathy to the family of Paddy (Pat) Walsh, St Mary’s St, Edenderry & formerly St Michael’s Park, Portarlington who passed away on Saturday June 11. 

Paddy was predeceased by his loving wife Eileen, son Denis & daughter Clare. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mona, son John, stepdaughter April, brothers Tony & Jim, sisters May, Julia (Leavy) & Catherine (McCann), nieces, nephews, extended family & friends. 

Funeral Mass took place on Monday June 13 at St Mary’s Church, Edenderry, with burial after in St Mary’s Cemetery. May Paddy rest in Peace.

Trilogy Triathlon Club have an upcoming event at Derryounce Lakes & Trails, only 2KM outside Portarlington on July 30. This is to give juniors an opportunity to experience the sport of Triathlon and aim to hold a fun, engaging environment for all junior abilities from Tots ‘splash and dash’ to competitive Teens. Each race will be finished before the next one starts. The age group to which you are assigned is determined by your age on December 31, 2022.
