Latest Laois Event: Peatlands come alive at Dunamaise Arts Centre

All throughout February the Gallery at Dunamaise Arts Centre will feature it’s first ever immersive exhibition, transforming the Gallery space into a surround-sound, amplified experience of nature-inspired art.

Peatlands is an immersive installation which explores the ecological treasures that are the peatlands and wetlands of Ireland and amplifies the extraordinary species found within. Combining animated paintings, photography, field recordings, sound sculpture and video into a transmedia essay, narrated through the voice of the natural and built worlds.
