Latest Laois Event: ‘Integration Through Music’ an Intercultural Extravaganza
‘Integration Through Music’ proved to be an Intercultural Extravaganza
A wonderful two-day event called Integration Through Music took place last weekend in The Montague DP Centre and Emo Court. The event had multi-agency support from Music Generation Laois, Na Píobairí Uilleann, Laois Partnership, Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board, Dignity Partnership and Healthy Ireland, along with private Donors.
The children and their families had the opportunity to try out the Uileann Pipes, Harp and Bodhran, ( unique Irish instruments) with lots of musical games and improvisations with a team of musician educators from Music Generation Laois and Na Píobairí Uilleann.
The beautiful weather added so much to the event and to hear these instruments and witness the children’s joy in the stunning surrounds of Emo Court was just amazing.
