Latest Laois Event: Grants for conservation of Historic Properties now available in Laois

GRANTS FOR CONSERVATION OF LAOIS HISTORIC PROPERTIES

Applications to Laois County Council are invited for the following schemes:

1. Historic Structures Fund:

Stream 1: Grants from €15,000 to €50,000 for essential repairs and smaller capital works, with a Pilot Stream for Historic Shopfronts

Stream 2: Grants from €50,000 to €200,000 for larger projects involving historic structures, with a clear community or public benefit 

Stream 3: Vernacular Structures for buildings that are not on the Local Authority RPS or otherwise legally protected. Grants between €5,000 and €10,000

2. Built Heritage Investment Scheme:

For ongoing repair and conservation of properties on the Record of Protected Structures or within Architectural Conservation Areas (ACAs). Grants at 50%  ranging from €2,500 to €15,000.

All works must be planned and overseen by qualified and experienced conservation professionals. Applications must be accompanied by a Method Statement. Only one application will be considered per historic structure. Applicants cannot avail of funding under both schemes in the same year.
