Latest Laois Event: Get ready for Laois Libraries’ Story Stroll
Laois Libraries Story Stroll
Laois Libraries are delighted to bring the library service outdoors this summer. As part of the Summer Stars reading programme, Jennifer Farley’s book, “Scout’s Best Day Ever”, will be coming to playgrounds, parks and walks across the county for the summer holidays. The book will be up on boards so families can walk around and read the book about Scout’s travels around Ireland from Dublin to Donegal! Pick up a quiz at your local library to do and a postcard to write or colour in!

The Story Stroll was launched on Friday 18th June in Mountmellick Playground at 12.30pm with pupils from Scoil Phadraig Naofa in attendance. The story stroll was launched by Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, Catherine Fitzgerald. Author Jennifer Farley delighted the boys with a reading of the book.

The Story stroll will be in the following locations on these dates:
Mountmellick playground 19th June – 16th July
Mountrath Playground 17th July – 30th July
Portarlington Playground 31st July – 31st August
