Latest Laois Event: Dopamine play storming set in front of packed house on Dublin debut
Portarlington band DOPAMINE sell out venue on Dublin debut.
Sunday 20th November at 5pm, The Sound House on Dublin’s Eden Quay was the place to be, if you had a ticket, that is. As the queue grew longer and longer, the staff at The Sound House commented that it was the longest queue they had experienced at the venue. This was due to the “All Ages” nature of the event and the enthusiasm of the young fans to attend early.
Dopamine started out with 2 of their own tracks, Demon Eyes and Lose it All Tonight and followed with a brilliant mix of covers on tracks from artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Maneskin, Idles, Surf Curse, White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, Fontaines DC as well as a mix of their own work. The crowd responded with huge energy and noise. The packed Sound House was rocking with people of all ages having a great time.
It was the first time that The venue had an “All Ages” event and the management went all out to ensure safety for all the patrons and that a great time was had by all.
An up and coming band, “The Malefactors” also performed a short set of sultry indie rock tracks that stoked the energy in the room.
The Port lads, Juan Miguel DeBorde, Lead Vocals & Guitar, Seán Fleming, Lead Guitar & Vocals, Kris Gavin, Bass and Sudsy (Seán Woods) wowed the crowd and were brilliantly received. The Sound House invited them back at the earliest convenience in the future.
Dopamine will announce their next Laois gig soon.
