Wreath-laying ceremony at War Memorial to follow Service of Remembrance at St. Peter’s Church of Ireland
Annual WWI Remembrance Ceremony takes place Sunday 19th November in Portlaoise
The annual remembrance ceremony for those who died in World War One and in subsequent conflicts across the globe will be held on Sunday 19th November 2023 in Portlaoise. A service of remembrance will be conducted in St Peter’s Church of Ireland at 10:45 and this will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial Millview, Portlaoise at 12:00 with members of the public invited to attend. Charlie Flanagan TD will give a speech at the war memorial.
