Laois County Fleadh 2023 to be held in Abbeyleix
Laois County Fleadh 2023 hosted by Spink CCÉ
Following on from the successful Co. Fleadh in Portlaoise, held jointly by the Portlaoise and Ratheniska Branches, and the extremely successful Leinster Fleadh & Street Festival held in Portlaoise in Summer 2022, the Laois County Fleadh 2023 will take place in Scoil Mhuire, Ballyroan Road, Abbeyleix from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th of June, hosted by the Spink Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
The detailed timetable of competitions will be issued by 15th May, but the guideline timetable for planning is:
- Friday 2nd June, 6.30 pm – Dancing competitions
- Saturday 3rd June, 10 am – 6pm – Grupa Cheoil & Céilí Band Competitions
- Sunday 4th June, 1pm – 6pm, Individual, Duet, Trio Competitions
We are looking forward to hosting a live broadcast of “Coppers & Brass” on Midlands 103 between 6pm and 8pm – with thanks to Padraig Duffy, and a host of other events.
Entries by Comhaltas members to be submitted by your Branch Secretary by April 28th.
Non-members should submit entries by email to laois@comhaltas.net by 21st of April.
