TRENDS for the week ahead include near average temperatures, very small amounts of rainfall, and near average sunshine amounts.

FORECASTS

TODAY will be partly cloudy with brief and generally light showers. Cool, highs 13 to 15 C.

TONIGHT will be partly cloudy and cool with lows 3 to 6 C.

TUESDAY will be partly cloudy to overcast in the north with isolated showers, sunny with cloudy intervals in the south, highs 13 to 16 C.

WEDNESDAY mostly sunny with lows 3 to 6 C, highs 16 to 19 C.

THURSDAY partly cloudy, isolated intervals of light rain or drizzle mostly confined to western coastal counties, lows 7 to 9 C and highs 17 to 20 C.

FRIDAY to SUNDAY continuing partly cloudy to sunny, warm, highs 17 to 21 C.

NEXT WEEK will see a gradual shift to cloudier weather although rainfall amounts will continue to be rather low until near the end of that week. Temperatures will remain near or slightly above normal.
