Laois Sports Partnership News
The Regional Finalists of the Rose of Tralee will take on the Laois Camogie Senior Team in a friendly on Saturday, 30th May in O’Moore Park, Portlaoise (throw-in 11.00am).
The match is in aid of the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre, Portlaoise.
There is ‘Go Games’ organised for half-time in conjunction with Cumunn na mBunscol.
The match is all about fun, about working together as a team and looking out for one another. The Laois team will be split in two as will the Roses – so each team will be made up of half & half. We want our younger audience to understand what it is like to help one another out, that it is ok to take-part in something that’s not your forte, to have fun and laugh. We believe strongly in the message that “A Healthy Ireland” is promoting, where everyone can enjoy physical and mental health and well-being to their full potential, where well-being is valued and supported at every level of society and is everyone’s responsibility.
