All the draws from U-9 all the way up have been announced and there are some really interesting clashes to salivate over. In a fiercely-competitive U-14 grade Portlaoise AFC’s ‘A’ side tackle Offaly kingpins Tullamore home and away.

At the U-15 level Emo Celtic with Irish International Jack Owens (click here for our report on Jack) in their ranks have Athlone powerhouse Willow Park as their opponents. Any other season the odds would be on the Westmeath side progressing but Emo truly have an exceptional side. In the same age-level an all-Laois affair sees Clonaslee United pit their wits with Abbeyleix Athletic. The South Laois side would normally be expected to advance but the Slieve Bloomers would only love to spoil the party for their cross-county rivals.

In the U-16 Cup Gracefield and Mountmellick will tangle to vie for the right to face Portlaoise AFC in the first round of the cup proper. Also Mountrath’s St. Aengus crew will fancy their chances against Templevilla from Mount Temple in Westmeath.
