Portarlington RFC is the place to be this Sunday as the RTE roadcaster is broadcasting from the club.  There will be a family fun day with the Ireland v Italy match on the big screen and it’s free to all.

Well done to Portarlington’s James Brennan and his Leinster U-20’s teammates who beat Ulster 31 – 12 in Donnybrook last Friday night. James is pictured here with Adam Coyle from Naas RFC who also played and who came up through the North Midlands player development system with James.

Portlaoise’s Eimear Corri, Emma Hooban, Liz Brophy, Louise Scully and Orlaith Phelan helped Leinster U18 girls get off to a winning start last weekend against Connacht and Munster. The girls were heavily involved and performed brilliantly throughout.

Two assured performances from the Leinster girls mean they head into their final game against Ulster in Portadown RFC this Saturday, 3 October at 2 pm. with a chance of a full sweep in this year’s Interprovincial Development Series. Thanks to Bryan Croke and Portlaoise RFC for this report. For photos from the Leinster v. Connacht game click here and for a full match report click here

A vitally-important Sports Seminar covering Mental Health issues will be held at Portlaoise RFC’s clubhouse in Togher on October 7th. Click here for all the details. Its scope means it’s a very worthwhile seminar to attend for all sports clubs and organisations.
