Durrow/Abbeyleix man to represent Laois at the 12th Annual Mr. Personality Festival!
Kieran Bowe will represent Laois at the 12th Annual Mr. Personality Festival which is being organised by Kilkenny Macra na Feirme. This will take place from the 7th to the 9th of April in the Springhill Court Hotel. The Festival is again sponsored by Kilkenny, Carlow and District Farm Relief Services.
Kieran is a 23 year old Agricultural Advisor from the Durrow/Abbeyleix club. His hobbies and interests include football for Spink GAA and he also plays hurling for Ballypickas GAA. He is chairman of his Macra club and enjoys macra events such as the National Macra Rally. He also helps out on his neighbour’s farm in the evenings and at the weekend.
Can Kieran win it for Laois?
Kieran believes he will make a good representative for Laois because he helping other people. He has gotten involved with his local community where they raised € 30000 for the local school. Kieran is a people person and is always trying to get new members into macra. He enjoys telling a good story, and also hearing a good one !
The weekend itinerary is as follows – the contestants will arrive at the Springhill Court Hotel at 7 pm with the on-Stage Interviews starting at 9pm. Former Macra President Matt O’Keeffe will be conducting the interviews. This will be followed by music from Hot Fuss and D.J. till late. Kieran will have an early start on Saturday morning as contestant challenges will take place at 9:30 am. Following the activity each contestant will be interviewed by the judges. Then on Saturday evening after photocall with the Sponsors, the Informal Banquet will take place starting at 7:45pm. This will be followed by music from Deuces Wild and D.J till late.
The Mr. Personality 2017 will be announced at about 12 midnight. Tickets for the banquet are sold out but tickets are still available for the Restaurant can be booked by contacting Kerry in the Springhill Court Hotel on 056 7721122.

On Sunday 9th April the National Volleyball Finals sponsored by the National Dairy Council will be held in The Watershed Kilkenny, making Kilkenny the place to be this weekend.
