4 Portlaoise Players to represent Ireland in Street Leagues World Cup

Best of luck to Jo Jo Thompson, Ger McInerney, Dean Bland and Liam Swayne. These four participants in the Portlaoise Street Soccer League will go on to represent Ireland in the Street Leagues World Cup this month.

Ireland face top European seeds Portugal along with former winners Ukraine and Denmark, Switzerland and Granada in the Street World Cup finals in Holland in September. It’s a very competitive group but newly-appointed Irish coach Thomas Morgan is confident that Ireland will prove formidable opponents for anybody and has no doubts they will be up for the challenge.
