Big Rugby Result for Portlaoise
On a weekend of big and, dare we say it, historic wins on the rugby field Portlaoise Rugby Club mirrored the achievements of the Irish International Senior Men’s side with a five-try haul of their own.
Trailing a visiting Mullingar RFC side at home by 7 points to nil at half-time the Laois side roused themselves to completely turn the tables on their Westmeath opponents in the second half.
Four tries plus a Penalty Try saw the Portlaoise RFC First Fifteen engineer their first win of the season and a bonus-point victory at that. Well done to all the players and management on a great achievement.
