Laois lad stars for Ireland
All here at the Laois People would like to congratulate Emo Celtic’s Jack Owens and Tullamore Town’s Joe Dwyer on being selected for Republic of ireland’s U-15 squad for this week’s two internationals against Poland. Wonderful to see Jack win the penalty for Ireland’s only goal in a 2-1 defeat yesterday to the Poles. It’s thrilling to see a local young man do so well in an Irish squad. The match report makes for heartwarming stuff for all soccer people in Laois.
