Safety: Club members are reminded to paddle safely with the higher water levels and never to paddle alone.
Trials: The Freestyle 2015 World Championships Team Trials were postponed on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd November in Limerick due to water levels. They have now been scheduled for the 7th and 8th February 2015.
National Championships: The first round of the National Freestyle championships took place on the Lower Corrib in Galway on Sunday 23rd November. Despite a frosty start to the day the sun shone through during registration and a great morning of kayaking was had by all. We look forward to the next round of the championships over the coming months.
Weekends only: Due to the shorter evenings, paddling will now be on at the weekends only. Please keep an eye out on our Facebook page here and on our website at http://www.laoiskayak.com for details. We also are welcoming new members, there are plenty of instructors – so do come along and try it out!
