Latest Laois News: Laois Horticulturist picked to advise home owners on their gardens
Laois Horticulturist John Carey has been picked to feature on a clever new online series hosted by one of Ireland’s leading property experts, Clare Connolly, who is on a mission to gather experts together to give free expert advice to home owners.
John from The Garden Shop.ie, Ireland’s largest online gardening website, will feature on ‘All Under One Roof’ a Facebook Live series, organised to help demystify property related services for clients.
The Portarlington-based gardener says as follows:
“I am delighted to participate in this series as ”Gardens your time has come!”
“With the magnificent weather we have enjoyed over the last week or so, people’s attention is naturally on their gardens and there are always questions around gardening! It never stops but it’s wonderful and I’m really looking forward to this online Facebook event. It’s a great opportunity for people to jump on and ask questions. The garden is the one place where you can really get to enjoy all the hard work and effort we put in and sit back and enjoy it all. Gardens are really coming into their own in Spring and landscaping and garden issues are to the fore. This Pandemic has really changed our perceptions of what a home should have. Space is so important, and the garden has come into its own, it really is like the extra room”.
“People who are lucky enough to have a garden want to make the absolute most of it. A well designed garden maximises space, it is an oasis and a sanctuary and an incredible asset that can considerably add value to properties”.

- Create an Outdoor space!
- Aim for the No Maintenance Garden! Yes, It is achievable and I’ll tell you how.
For her part, Clare says
