World Championships Update:
Laois veteran Paddy Donovan & playing partner Tómas Donegan of Limerick were involved in a highly entertaining and very competitive Men’s B Doubles World Championships quarter final last night. Having lost the first game 15-21 they stormed back into the contest with a 21-3 win in the second. The tie-breaker was to go all the way with Paddy & Tómas winning it 11-10 to advance to the semi-finals.

Tómas Lennon (second fron left) bowed out the World Chmapionships.

Unfortunately there was no joy for Tómas Lennon who came up against a highly motivated and determined Noel Holohan of Wexford. After losing the first game 21-9, Tómas was hopeful of staging a fightback but the experienced Wexford handballer was to prove too good on the day winning the second 21-10.
