What a great day for Laois and Midlands cricket as for the first time ever the Leinster Senior 2 cup has left Co.Dublin after 72 years of the competition. Well done to the lads who won it after a very tense day of cricket eventually chasing down a modest score of 114. Both teams gave it their all but our guts and determination saw us through to make history for the club.

Since achieving Senior status in Leinster Cricket 13 years ago we have suffered defeat in the final in 2004 and 2008 so this makes up for past heartbreaks.Again well done to the boys but this win was also for all the past and still present players and for all the people who have put in the hard work over the years to run a successful and well respected club. Still plenty more to play for this season with the 2nds and 3rds in Leinster finals and also chances of League success so let us keep pushing on.
