Laois County Council Unveils New Laois Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) and Laois Climate Action Plan (LACAP) at Emo Court

On the 22nd May 2024 Laois County Council and Laois Local Community Development Committee (Laois LCDC) proudly announced the official launch of its Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) and Local Authority Climate Action Plan (LACAP) at the historic and picturesque Emo Court and Parklands. This event marks a significant milestone in the sustainable development and environmental stewardship of County Laois.

The Laois Local Economic and Community Plan 2023-2028 was adopted by elected members in March  and outlines a comprehensive strategy for fostering economic growth, enhancing community development and well-being, as well as promoting sustainable development across the county. In parallel, the Local Authority Climate Action Plan which was adopted by elected members in January 2024 lays out actionable steps to address climate change, reduce carbon emissions, and build resilience against environmental challenges.
