Laois blooming with Roses

Yes it’s that time again when Laois is positively brimming with beautiful Roses and their darling Rose Buds. The Regional Finals of the Rose of Tralee contest are being held this weekend in The Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise. That, however, doesn’t mean that the gorgeous Roses are confined to the county town for the duration. Far from it. Yesterday evening ( 29/05/14) a wonderful entourage of the most lovely young ladies were on hand to start proceedings at this year’s Mountmellick SummerFest.

Mountmellick's never been lovlier: Mountmellick SummerFest Queen Courtney Murray welcomes Laois Rose Teresa Maria Brennan to the SummerFest.

Trips are also underway to both Timahoe and Barrowhouse as the whole county gets an opportunity to give the Roses a wonderful warm welcome.

This is a summary of an action-packed weekend for the Roses.
