đ„INDIAN SUMMER AHEAD – SUMMER WARMTH RETURNS
đ€MOSTY DRY & SETTLED WEATHER NEXT WEEK
đPlease Share
The latest weather models continue to suggest that we are on the cusp of a return to something a little more summery regarding our weather. High pressure is building to our southwest initially today however that high pressure will push northeast wards eventually sitting across southern Scandinavian forming a block which will prevent any Atlantic systems from pushing eastwards across the country.
One of the first differences which weâll notice in our weather over the coming days will be the gradual but significant rise in temperatures. By tomorrow afternoon highs may creep up to 20 or 21 degrees Celsius, Sunday theyâll peak at up to 23 degrees Celsius, however by next Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon highs in the Midlands and Midwest will reach up to as high as 24-25 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate east to southeasterly winds feeding in warm air from a continental source.
Our weather will remain mostly settled, however not all areas will enjoy crystal clear blue skies. Saturday will see outbreaks of rain in west Connacht and northwest Ulster, with cloudy conditions possible in Atlantic coastal areas of the northwest also on Sunday. Cloud will be a little more widespread on Monday for a time, with a chance of some isolated heavy showers in the west and southwest for a time. Elsewhere sunnier conditions will develop more widely and it will feel very warm in an extended sunshine.

The further outlook in our weather from midweek through until the weekend is for the settled and warm weather to remain in place. High pressure becomes rather dominant across Scandinavia feeding in warm air from the continent while keeping more unsettled weather farther to the south and southwest. All indications suggest that we are set to enjoy a golden sunset in what has been a very mixed summer.
Enjoy the weekend warmth and the Indian Summer conditions.
