‘Hugely Significant’ Laois Derby Tonight

All roads lead to Stradbally this evening as The Lawn will become the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ for Laois Soccer. Dreams or nightmares will result as the clash between hosts Stradbally Town AFC and high-flying Mountmellick United will most likely seal the fate of two Laois clubs. The other local side who will taking a keen interest in proceedings tonight will be league-toppers Towerhill Rovers from Portlaoise. 

Mountmellick has a game in hand over Towerhill and should they beat Stradbally this evening Mountmellick will leapfrop over the Portlaoise outfit to take pole position in the exciting fight to be promoted to the Senior Division of the Combined Counties Football League (CCFL). Towerhill Rovers will be hoping Stradbally do them a favour tonight. If Stradbally were to win then they too would have an outside chance of promotion. Check below for the current CCFL tables.
