Great season for Portlaoise AFC
A big ‘hat tip’ has to go to Portlaoise AFC for an incredible end to the current season. The Laois soccer powerhouse has captured a huge amount of silverware in the past few weeks.
Not content with its ‘A’ side winning promotion to the LSL Sunday Major Division in Dublin the schoolboy/girl section of the club has been on a feeding frenzy as the season reaches a crescendo.
The club’s U-11’s won their league and will contest the MSL Cup Final this weekend. Portlaoise’s U-12’s are in a league playoff while their U-13’s finished a creditable third.
The U-14’s captured their league title and have also qualified for Mid- Leinster Cup Final. Not to be outdone the Rossleighan outfit’s U-15’s won the League and will contest a Cup final as well.
Last but not least the club has their ‘B’ side’s Cup Final to look forward to this Sunday. Well done to the club from everyone at the Laois People.
