The Hen Night Epiphany is Jimmy Murphy’s first attempt at getting inside the female mind. It’s a week before Una’s (Edel Finnegan) dream wedding. Her two best friends, Kelly Ciara Carroll) and Triona (Sarah Sullivan), get together to clear out her recently purchased rundown cottage. Joining them, on this hen night of sorts, is her soon to be mother-in law Olive (Mary Delaney) and Olive’s best friend Anta (Eadaoin O’Connell). Una is keeping a secret that, if revealed, would prevent wedding, and destroy all hopes living happily ever after with the love of her life. As the play unfolds, each woman, in turn, is forced to confront awkward truths of their own.
