Portlaoise GAA celebration
This Friday night (Oct. 17th) at 8pm in O’Loughlins Hotel, Portlaoise GAA club are honouring the 1964 Senior Football team that, 50 years ago this year, won the Senior Football final for the first time in 57 years.This team started the resurgence that has seen the club become the most successful club in Laois. Many of the players from this era played hurling and football for both the club and county. Calling all former and current players, members and supporters of the town to come along and acknowledge these great town men and start the county final weekend on a high.
