LIONS AFC: Thanks to all who bought an FAI draw ticket this year. It’s a major fundraiser for the club and your continued support is greatly appreciated. Club togs and socks are now available through each team a manager – €10 for both, which is great value! Missing: A First Aid Bag went missing from the soccer club-house recently. Its a plain red bag with no markings and may easily have been picked up by mistake. Please contact Tom if you have seen it on (087) 2936531. The Lions Soccer Academy will continue on Sundays at Noon. The Academy caters for boys and girls with the emphasis on learning in a fun atmosphere. Any questions or queries to Robbie Dempsey on (087) 4115971.
HARPS CAMOGIE: Congratulations to Pat Dunphy, our November winner of Barney’s Bonus Bonanza.

LAOIS KAYAK AND CANOE CLUB:
Winter Paddling With the darker evenings all paddling is now at weekends only due to shorter daylight hours. This Sunday’s Paddle on the 12th of November is to Clonmel Slalom course. The trip will include an introduction to river running for level 2’s looking to progress. Meeting at the clubhouse in Durrow at 10am or at the get-in in Clonmel at 11.30am. All gear will need to be disinfected before and after.
Pool Sessions Pool sessions to improve level 2 paddlers continue with Balto Canoeing club in Athy on Sundays evenings. It’s a great opportunity for younger paddlers to practice their roll.
Crayfish  There have been a number of outbreaks of crayfish plagues this summer, and this is a disease that kills Irish crayfish. We are advising kayakers to follow these instructions if paddling the following rivers; the River Barrow, the River Suir and the River Deel. If these are your local rivers, please follow these guidelines before travelling to other water courses. Following each trip, all paddle sports equipment should be routinely inspected, disinfected and thoroughly dried out. Drain water from watercraft and inspect inside and out and all other gear. Remove and safely dispose of all attached plant and animal material, mud or debris. Full details are in the club house and on our Facebook page.

DURROW GUN CLUB: The Durrow Gun Club would like to thank all the landowners who generously give us permission to shoot their ground. Your support of the club is very much appreciated. The members had a very good opening day with lots of birds seen and the health and quality of the birds this year is very high. Lee won the competition for longest tail with the bird measuring 40″, Seamus for heaviest bird and Mick with best overall bird. Well done to all.
