THIRD LAOIS DURROW SCOUTS: The Cubs went to a Backwoods activity in Rathdowney last weekend where they worked on new skills. There was fire lighting and cooking bread on campfire. They learned how to be safe around knives and axes, and made shelters. It was a fun day for all. Second-hand    Jumpers are available to purchase from the Group for Beavers and Cubs and also shirts for Scouts.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE 2020: The Durrow St. Patrick’s Festival and Parade will take place on Tuesday 17th March. All parade participants will meet at the top of Erkindale at 1pm and the parade will take place at 1.30pm. Entertainment will take place on the green after the parade. As our parade only takes place every two years now, we would ask all businesses, clubs and organisations to get involved and participate in the parade. CULLOHILL COMMUNITY CENTRE: This year’s auction was a great success again last Sunday week. With lots of items for sale and numerous vouchers as well as farm produce and firewood on sale, there was something for everyone. Many thanks to all for their support through the various donations and to the crowd on the day who hopefully got many bargains! Auctioneer David O’Connell did a great job as  always and special thanks to David.
The proceeds of the auction are going towards the refurbishment of the Centre which entails an extension to the back as well as upgrading the meeting rooms including redevelopment of the stage area.
