CULLOHILL ICA: Cullohill ICA held their March meeting in the Community Centre on Tuesday night last. Votes of sympathy and prayers were said for the families of Rev. Fr. John Lalor, Rev. Fr. James Dollard, and Dan Kirby, Kilasmeesta. Nine members will attend International Evening in St. Patrick’s Hall, Ballacolla on Monday March 9th next. The Pilates Classes are going well and there will be a change of date for one session, it will be held on Wednesday March 18th at same time as this is due to St. Patrick’s Day being on a Tuesday. An invitation to visit Manor Stone Garden centre was received and when the weather improves we will take up the offer. The winners of the raffle were:  Ann Delaney, Eliz Dunne and Mary Kavanagh. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 7th 2020.

SCOIL TIGHEARNACH NOAFA: Scoil Tighearnach Noafa, Cullohill, are now taking names for enrolment ahead of the next school year commencing September 2020. Please call to the school for enrolment form or call us on (057) 8737281 during Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday mornings to enrol.

BEST OF LUCK: Best wishes are extended to the student choir members at St. Fergal’s Secondary School in Rathdowney who travel to the National Concert Hall in Dublin on March 23rd to compete in the final of the prestigious Walton’s Music for Schools Competition. The choir of thirty-nine features students from Durrow and they all are wished the very best!

FAMILY CARERS IRELAND: Family Carers Ireland in conjunction with Headway Ireland will be holding a workshop for Carers of a loved one with an acquired brain injury on Wednesday 8th April at 10.30am in the Cathedral Parish Centre, College Street, Carlow. Places are limited on this workshop and booking is essential. To book your place please contact (056) 7721424. There is no charge to attend.

AGE OPPORTUNITY IRELAND: Age Opportunity Ireland and Rathdowney Golf Club invite you to give golf a try one day a week over three weeks – for free! All equipment provided – just dress appropriate for the weather and use runners for footwear. Sessions begin this March and booking is essential.
