The Laois supremo has a juggling act to pull off this week as many of the Laois U-21’s will be either definite starters or on the substitute’s bench for this Sunday’s Leinster Senior Hurling Championship clash with Galway. Four games in as many weeks for the Laois Seniors has really stretched playing resources to the limit. The U-21 game in the midst of that run was probably the last thing the Laois manager wanted. It’s definitely a headache he could have done without. Plunkett will be hoping and praying that players such as ‘Cha’ Dwyer, Stephen Maher and Ross King will all leave Parnell Park tonight in ‘one piece’ as they’ll almost definitely be called upon to shore up Laois’ challenge against the Tribesmen this Sunday.
