Diamond Wedding Celebration
May 13 1957 was the wedding day of Christy Smith Annamoe & Christine Byrne the Borness. The Ceremony was held in St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick with family & friends. Moving to St Brigid’s Sq where they had their 3 sons David, Thomas & Christy Jnr & daughter Liz. Also joined by their nephew Brian some years later. Over 30 years ago they built their own home in Ballymorris where they still live.
It’s now 60 years on and Christy & Chrissy are still going strong having reared a great family & also in addition to their own family they now have 9 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Their house is always full of love & laughter especially when joined by the younger generation. Christy worked for many years in Odlums Mill as a lorry driver until his retirement over 20 years ago, and Chrissy worked in the old reliable Avon plant before it closed its doors.

I am sure I am joined by many people who know Christy & Chrissy many more years of marriage. Good health to both of them. Also Christy celebrated his 84th birthday on May 14, the day after the Anniversary.
