Proceeds of latest annual Clonaslee St. Stephen’s Day Walk presented to Laois Hospice representatives
Clonaslee St.Stephen’s day walk group welcomed Laois Hospice Committee to the Heritage centre, Clonaslee on Friday April 17th to present their cheque of €37,600 proceeds following their very successful walk on St. Stephen’s Day 2025.

The Cheque was presented to Mary Delaney, Chairperson Laois Hospice Foundation by Lucy Feighery and Edel Bourke; two Clonaslee St. Stephen’s Day Walk committee members.
Sheila Bourke, Co-Ordinator of the walk thanked everyone involved for all their hard work in making the day such a wonderful success, with the weather playing a big part, huge crowds attended, creating a wonderful atmosphere both on the walk and at the Community centre, where refreshments were served.

Clonaslee is truly on the map, with the crowds that attended, some as far as Mayo, Wicklow and Clare. Our Facebook page plays a massive part in getting the word out about our walk. Sheila also thanked all our loyal sponsors for their continued support.

Mary Delaney was delighted to accept the funds raised and thanked the people of Clonaslee community for organising one of the biggest fund raisers yearly for Laois Hospice. She gave very informative information as to how the funds are distributed. The funds are in the capable hands of the Laois Hospice Committee, who are all in their positions on a voluntary capacity.

Mary also expressed her gratitude to Michael Scully, the photographer for his kindness and great support to Laois Hospice. The night ended with some light refreshments and chat.
