Birdwatch Laois News
The next meeting of the Laois branch of BirdWatch Ireland will be held on Tuesday evening 27 January, when local member Des Finnamore will talk about “Bird species to see in Southwest Laois”. The meeting will be at the Portlaoise Parish Centre at 8pm. The talk is open to everyone with an interest in wildlife. Entry is free but all contributions are welcome.

To follow up, Des will lead a trip to Grantstown Lake on Sunday morning 1 February. Meet at County Hall Portlaoise at 9am or Grantstown at 9.30.

The branch AGM will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 24 February in the Parish Centre.
