‘Around the Slieve Blooms’: Clonaslee & Rosenallis News

Mr and Mrs quiz

There is a Mr and Mrs quiz organized in Fallons Pub, Clonaslee on February 13th, kicking off around 8.30pm. The couples taking part are all local and sure to be a bit of fun. ? There is a DJ organized for afterwards and there will be some hot food and sandwiches on the night! Definitely worth going to! There will also be a raffle on the night. The event is in aid of the Hope Foundation, based in Calcutta, the organization which Kate Conroy will be volunteering for 5 months starting in March, working with children living in the slums! Please spread the word, see ye there. ?

Kinnitty GAA News

Kinnitty GAA club’s dinner dance is on the 29th of January @ 9pm in Kinnitty Castle. Music on the night by Paddy Buckley. Tickets are €20. It promises to be a great night. All are welcome. If anyone wants tickets let me know here.

Congratulations to Pat Corbett from Clonaslee Show on being elected National President of the Irish Shows Association at the recent AGM held in Tullamore. One of Pat’s priorities for his two-year presidency is to crack down on the abuse of show personnel by spectators and competitors.
