Rosenallis/Kilcavan Athletics Club presented a cheque for €2,520 to the nurses from the Oncology Unit, Tullamore Hospital. It was a wonderful occasion made even more specialas the club members were wearing their new club colours! The money was raised by collecting old car and tractor batteries for recycling. A huge ‘thank you’ to all who contributed and to Declan Egan and John Joe Grennan for co-ordinating and collecting the batteries.
Well done to the club’s U/13 Hurlers who won the Div 2 Shield, at the beginning of December, beating Mountrath 4-6 to 0-6. It was a fitting way to round off 2015 after such a successful year for the club’s Juvenile section.
