Port Speakers will launch their “New Year, New You” Programme on Tuesday January 5. Coming back to work after a break? Want to make new friends? Want to polish up your presentation skills? Want to enhance your Communication and leadership skills?

Port Speakers President Carmel O’Moore announced details of the New Year, New You programme detailing speeches of interest and communication workshops to be included in each meeting starting on Tuesday January 5 at 7.45pm in the Killenard Community Centre. St Stephen’s Day Walk
Walk for the Laois Hospice takes place from Clonaslee Community Centre on St Stephen’s day. 10 Mile walk through the Sliabh Bloom Mountains, and Short walk of 3-4 miles. Portarlington Tidy Towns calendar 2016 is available for sale for €5 in many shops throughout the town or can be purchased from Committee members. The calendar has twelve fantastic images of Portarlington and is a must have stocking filler for people near and far. All of the money raised from the calendar will go back in to enhancing the appearance of our town. The Tidy Towns committee would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Portarlington for their ongoing support for the work of the committee and wish everyone a Happy Christmas.
