URGENT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE PCDA
The Derryounce Lakes committee have been contacted by Bord Na Mona ref the Train Track up on the Derryounce lakes. There have been several people walking along these train tracks which is illegal as the locomotives that still use these tracks have no ability to stop, making this very dangerous. Please please be aware whilst walking up on the Derryounce walks of this safety matter. If you have any questions regarding this you can contact a member of the Portarlington Trails group, the Portarlington Wildlife conservation group or the Derryounce Lakes & Trails group. The Derryounce project is part of the Portarlington Community Development Association.

COFFEE MORNING
The volunteers at the Care Charity shop Main St would like to thank all who supported their recent coffee mornings for Breast cancer awareness. The total amount raised was €235. RAINBOW PROGRAMME
The Rainbow Programme for Primary School children of the parish aged 7-12 years will commence in the Presentation Primary School, Station Road on Wednesday November 8 from 2.30pm – 3.15pm and every Wednesday at the same time. The programme consists of twelve sessions, one session weekly with two ‘Celebrate Me’ days. Rainbows’ is a support programme for children who have experienced death, a separation or are struggling through a painful experience. If you are interested in acquiring more information to have your child or children take part in this programme, contact Ursula or Dolores on 057-8623007 (Mon. – Fri. 9am-2.30pm – School Hours).
Porterhouse Players
To mark the 3-year anniversary of Porterhouse Players they are organising a tour performing their latest satire comedy in 3 acts called “It Happened At The Hollywood Hotel” , written by director of the group Frank Hollingsworth. Performances will take place in Portlaosie, Athy & Tullamore in October and November.
This play has been called the “Irish Fawlty Towers”.
With lots of music & charming melodies implemented into scenes in the show.
