2016 Calendar has been launched by Portarlington Tidy Towns. The calendar contains pictures taken by Con Murphy Photographer of various places around Portarlington. It is on sale in Fletchers, Whelehans/Central Stores, Main St. / Supervalu and is priced at €5. All money raised goes back into Portarlington Tidy Towns. It would be a great gift for family, friends and anyone who is living away.

Sale of work will take place on Friday November 13 from 12 Noon to 3pm in the Social Services Centre (Meals on Wheels). Lots of lovely knitwear for sale / Raffle on the day. Proceeds in aid of Laois & Offaly Hospices. All very welcome.
Bake Sale
Scouts and Ventures are holding a Fundraiser Bake Sale for Kieran Donagher on November 7 from 12pm-4pm in our Scouts Den Main Street. Kieran and Michelle play a big part in 4th Laois Scout along with their 2 daughters. Please come and support this fundraiser. If you wish to donate baking items please drop down to the den on Friday November 6 between 7pm-8pm. Hope to see you all on the 7. All are welcome.

The Courtwood and St. Conleths Ladies GAA clubs would like to offer a huge thanks to all who supported our Strictly Come Dancing Night. A particular thanks to all our dancers, sponsors and advertisers who made it such a huge success. The Lea Castle committee are holding a Fundraiser in the Community Centre. The event is a Homemade Xmas Floral Arrangement. The event will take place on Tuesday November 10, 17, 24. Also Thursday November 12, 19, 26. Times 8-10pm nightly. Cost is €50 for 3 nights & you will get to bring home 3 arrangements. Greenery & oasis supplied. Bring your own flowers.
