SYMPATHY
Deepest Sympathy to the family of Jack Mathews Patrick St who passed away on Saturday June 17. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Hazel a number of years ago, and by his brother Ronnie just 6 months ago. He will be sadly missed by his son Gary, daughter Sandra, grandchildren Jean & Jamie, daughter in law Maeve, extended family & friends. Funeral Service took place in St Paul’s Church on Tuesday June 20, with burial after in the adjoining Graveyard. May Jack rest in peace.

Shem will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Maureen O’ Rourke (Killeigh), Chrissie Bennett (Main St Portarlington) & Dorrie Conroy (London), his nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours & friends. Requiem Mass took place on Wednesday June 21 in St Mary’s Church Raheen, with burial after in the adjoining Cemetery. May Shem rest in Peace.

We are pleased to announce that from this Tuesday June 27 Portarlington GAA Club will take over the running of the weekly bingo in McCann Park. We would like to thank the Swimming Pool Committee to for all their hard work and commitment over the past 47 years of running the bingo. Results-Congratulations to our U12s who won the Shield at the Emmet McConville Memorial Tournament and also got to the 1/4 final of the Newry Mitchells Tournament recently.
