Afternoon dancing In aid of Portarlington Senior citizens Annual party takes place on Sunday  November 22. From 3-6 pm in the Portarlington Community Centre. Music by – J & L Sound. Refreshments served. Admission €5. All welcome.

Centra Action Cancer 5k Walk 

A big thank you to everyone that turned up to support the Irish Cancer Society walk from Centra Main St .  Winner of our €100 voucher was Jackie Dyer. Winner of Hamper was Tomas Askuntowic. The amount raised for Irish Cancer was €723.26.  Well done to everyone who supported this worthy cause. Click here for more information and photos.

Dancing continues every Monday night in The Gandon Inn, till midnight in aid of Portarlington St V de Paul. Nov 2-Checkers. Come along for a great night out.  Admission €7.  All welcome.

Portarlington Speakers

Two very informative, well delivered speeches on the effect of stress in the workplace and how to understand body language provided a great start to Tuesday meeting of Portarlington Speakers. After coffee and craic it was then back to what is always regarded as the fun part of the evening namely table topics. And fun it was.

Carmel Moore had selected a seemingly bottomless bag of topics and well answered they were. Donal proved that the good old fashioned man was still alive but powerless against the modern woman. PORTARLINGTON SPEAKERS TAKE TO FLOOR FOR 2015/16
