Once again we had a wonderful night at our Christmas Extravaganza. The talent that we had was amazing. We had a full programme of young and old. Musicians & singers who amazed the audience with their fabulous music & singing.

The Committee of Portarlington Social Services/Meals on Wheels would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. We would like to thank everyone who supported us in 2016. Without your generosity we could not continue to provide over 5,000 meals a year to our recipients. A big thanks to our many volunteers who give their time to deliver our meals. Also thanks to our ladies who cook these nourishing meals.

POST CHRISTMAS WALK
The PCDA would like to thank the 50 plus people young and old who joined up at the Bog road at the entrance to the Derryounce Walk on Tuesday December 27. Led by the master of walks himself Donie Molloy of Port Trail Walking Group everyone set off in great spirits. At Nugents Hill Colm Powell and Martin Lyons had refreshments for everyone. Mulled wine, tea, coffee, water, mince pies, buns and biscuits. It was a great treat for everyone. Well done Colm and Martin.

Thanks to Paddy our safety man who carries the 1st aid bag. I don’t think anyone needed him but great to know he is there. On behalf of the PCDA we would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. It was great to see all the wonderful work that’s happening up there. We hope to see you all in 2017 for more walks.
