Christmas Walk
Do you fancy getting out in to the fresh air for a nice walk shortly after Christmas Day?
PCDA/Derryounce Project Fundraising 7k Walk takes place on Tuesday December 27 @ 2.30pm. Registration will take place at 2pm at the entrance to Derryounce walkway at Marian Hill/Bog Road. Donation €5. For further information please contact Love Port on 085- 8568801.

St Vincent de Paul (Dancing)
Dancing continues in 2017 every Monday night in The Gandon Inn, from 9.30pm to 11.30pm in aid of Portarlington St V de Paul. We would like to thank everyone who supported our dancing in 2016 & look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

Emo Village Sunday market just inside the gates of the magical Emo Demesne. Market with fresh local produce including organic meat, vegetables and cheese, award winning jams, pesto, soups and sauces, delicious cakes and pastries with extraordinary wines and quality ceramics, candles and crafts.

Evening market from 4pm to 9pm on next Thursday December 22 with complimentary festive treats, demonstrations plus a surprise or two.

CHILDREN’S / FAMILY MASS
A Children’s / Family Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church, Portarlington at 6pm on Christmas Eve at 6pm. If there are any children in the Parish who would like to take part in a nativity play during the Mass please contact Sinead Dunne on 087-9062942.
SYMPATHY
Deepest sympathy to the family of John Murphy, who passed away on November 13 in England. John was predeceased by his wife Kathleen (Doyle, Treascon). He will be sadly missed by his brother Tadgh, sister in law Mary, niece Margaret , nephew John, Cork. Also his niece Anne Bannon and nephews Liam Murphy Portarlington and Peter Murphy, Navan, Lynda Murtagh Naas and Bernard Devaney Nenagh.
Requiem Mass took place on Wednesday, December 14 in St Michael’s Church with burial after in St Michaels Cemetery. May John rest in Peace.
