ARTHRITIS IRELAND – LAOIS BRANCH
Arthritis Ireland Laois Branch are delighted to invite you to their “Official Launch” which will take place on Tuesday October 13 at The Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise at 7pm. An Information talk has been organised to include the following speakers: Dr Killian O’Rourke (Rheumatologist), Ms Angela Camon (Clinical Nurse Specialist) and Mr Brendan Behan (Pharmacist). Arthritis Ireland Head Office will be represented also. There will be a limited question & answer opportunity on the night. Tea & Coffee will be served. Admission Free. We look forward to welcoming you on the night. (Free underground parking to the rear of the hotel with lifts to the main lobby).

Sponsored Walk for Cancer Society
A sponsored 5k walk in aid of the Irish Cancer Society will take place on Saturday October 17 at 12 o’clock from Centra Main Street. Sponsor cards available at checkouts. Please support this very worthy cause.

Gracefield/ Walsh Island Community Games will hold its AGM on Wednesday October 21 at 9pm in Gracefield GAA Centre. Tea / coffee & sandwiches will be provided on the night. We would like to invite anyone who may have interest in activities for children to come along and see what Community Games is all about.
Charity Golf Event
The Heritage Golf Club captains are organising a Charity day Golf Event on Sunday October 18. The 2 Charities to benefit will be Console & Portarlington Meals on Wheels. The competition will be a 4 person team scramble & the cost will be €100 for a 4 person team. All money raised will go directly to the 2 Charities named.
