WEDDING BELLS
Congratulations & best wishes to Aidan O’Reilly Kilbride & Laura Scallon Railway Mews & formerly Co. Monaghan who celebrated their wedding day with family & friends on Monday October 31. The wedding ceremony took place in St John’s Church Killenard. Chief Celebrant was Aidan’s uncle Fr Tom O’Reilly, assisted by Fr Dooley PP. Best man was Eoin O’Reilly, groomsmen were Dennis Lyne, Liam Purcell & Eoin Purcell. Bridesmaids were Aoife Cooper & Katie O’Reilly. Soloist was Catriona Cooper with organist Antoinette Dickenson-Kaur. A reception was held after the Ceremony in the Keadeen Hotel Newbridge. Wishing Aidan & Laura many years of happiness.

We are pleased to announce we are forming a Junior Concert Band in Portarlington for boys & girls aged 9 years and upwards. Dancing continues every Monday night in The Gandon Inn, from 9.30pm to 11.30pm in aid of Portarlington St V de Paul. November 21-The Kelly Family. Come along for a great night out. Admission €7. Portarlington St V de Paul will hold their Annual Christmas dance in the Gandon Inn on Friday December 2. Music by the fabulous Checkers. Dancing from 9.30pm to 12am. Spot prizes & raffle on the night. Come along for a great night out. No partners needed. Admission €8.

The AGM of the Lea Castle Conservation Project will take place in the Portarlington Community Centre on Monday December 5 @ 8pm. Everyone welcome.

The 4th Annual Christmas Extravaganza will take place once more in the Heritage Hotel Killenard on Sunday December 18th at 8pm. Tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks.
