CALLING ALL BANDS

Portarlington woman Deirdre Connolly is searching for talent for upcoming fundraiser to support local cancer services. A Summer fundraiser with a Musical twist, with the proceeds going towards the Cuisle Centre in Portlaoise. Deirdre was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago and has been using the support services at the Cuisle Centre ever since. Deirdre says that we all know someone or their families effected by cancer of some sort, and who benefit from this service. The Portlaoise facility “relies on public donations and fundraiser efforts.” A night of live music to be held in the Anvil Inn, Portarlington, from 7pm to 9pm on Sunday August 3. The theme is American & Irish Country music and any acts interested in performing can contact Deirdre directly on  085-2875951, or Eoghan Coffey, Manager of The Anvil Inn, on 087-6601669. Now Deirdre is putting the call out to any bands who think they might fit the bill.
