CROAGH PATRICK CLIMB

Once again Pat Burbage will climb Croagh Patrick on next Monday July 8 with a group. If you would like to climb, then call in to Pat at his shop on Main St, or contact him on 0877716244. Proceeds once again goes to Port Meals on Wheels. If you can take a sponsor card, they are now available.

RETIREMENT

A big congratulations to Ann O’Brien who waved off her last group of Playschool children on Friday June 21, after 24 years in Business in Ar nOige Playschool on Patrick Street. Many children have passed through her doors, and started their school and learning journey within Ar nOige. Wishing Ann all the best in her retirement.

GROW MENTAL HEALTH

Did you know that GROW have had a meeting place in Portarlington for the last no of years. Meeting for a chat & a cuppa every Thursday at 2.15pm at the Social Services Centre on the Link road. For more information on Ports meeting contact Assumpta at 0868114135.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Thelma Hart (nee Grehan), Geashill & formerly Shandra Portarlington who passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday June 19th. Thelma was predeceased by her husband Eamon & her father Jim.

Thelma will be sadly missed by her sons Andrew & Ronan, her heartbroken mother Betty, sisters Judith (Donnelly), Naoimh (Hutchinson), her twin sister Sharon (Weir), brother James, extended family, neighbours & friends. Funeral took place on Saturday June 22. May Thelma rest in Peace.

Deepest Sympathy to the family of Margaret (Mag) Coughlan (nee O’Reilly), Beechwood, Bracknagh who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore on Sunday June 23. Mag will be sadly missed by her loving husband Billy, family Sharon, Mary, Joe and Willie, sister Carmel, brothers Christy and Joe, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral took place on Wednesday June 26. May Margaret rest in Peace.

 Summer Stars-Our annual summer reading challenge is up and running for primary school children. Read 8 books throughout the summer and receive a medal and a certificate.

Lego Call Out-Looking to increase our stock of Lego & would appreciate donations from your home.
