DARKNESS INTO LIGHT 

Portarlington will hold Darkness in to Light on next Saturday May 11, starting & finishing at the Portarlington GAA Centre. Venue opens from 3.30am. 5km walk leaving @ 4.15am. Refreshments before & after walk.

ART EXHIBITION

Portarlington Further Education and Training Centre, would like to thank everyone who supported their recent Art exhibition. They had a clay modeling work shop by beads_knits_clay_kids & amazing food by Hummingbird Interiors.

They were treated to some fabulous art by the 4th class boys from St. Patrick’s BNS, Portarlington, singing, saxophone, and Irish dancing. Well done to the QQI level 4 class for organizing the exhibition. €225 was raised for the Laois SPCA, along with some animal food.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy to Michelle Crampton & family, Pine Villa on the death of Michelle’s father William (Banjo) Davy, Edenderry, who passed away on Friday April 26. William was predeceased by his loving wife Rosario, son Alan & daughter in law Geraldine. He will be sadly missed by his sons William & Ivor, daughters Martina, Michelle & Rosario, brother, sisters, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours & friends. May William rest in Peace. Funeral took place on Monday April 29.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy to the family of  Michael Gleeson formerly Morette, Emo, who passed away suddenly on Sunday April 28.  Michael was predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret and sister Jackie. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers and sisters Audrey, Denis, Georgina, Stephanie and Thomas, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral took place on Thursday May 2. May Michael rest in Peace.
